Here I am sitting at my desk and that strap on my flip flop just breaks off. It is 9:26 a.m. I have 7 hours left of work, a meeting to go to, and a walk home. I have tried to repair my flip flop with tape. Hopefully it holds!

The grocery store closest to my apartment in Bonn is definately not up to par. The produce always looks like it has already gone bad and their selection of meat and dairy products are pretty scarce. Needless to say, there isn’t a lot of variety. So, this afternoon after work I decided to go on [...]

Yesterday afternoon was a cloudy boring day, that is until we decided to go for a bike ride. There is a bike trail that runs right along the Rhein for miles and miles; to be honest I have no idea where it actually ends, but I know it is long. We thought we were in [...]

While in Cologne yesterday we did some searching for a good place to sit down at have a beer and eat some food. We found it, a biergarten that serves beer in large quantities. We purchased 3L of beer for 18 Euros, which is a steal! This beer comes out, not in your ordinary pitcher, [...]

We went to see Limits of Control last night. I was expecting a completely different movie from the previews. There was barely any talking during the movie and half of the talking was in Spanish and the the subtitles were in German. I am pretty sure I got the idea and I didn’t really care [...]

No! I don’t understand much of anything. My german has improved since I have arrived here almost 5 weeks ago, but definately not to the point where I can speak at a normal pace or comprehend when they speak at their normal pace.
I started my internship on Monday and it has been very difficult. I [...]

I arrived in Bonn on Saturday evening. Getting here was really good until I got here late and my friend had left thinking he missed me. I was stranded in Bonn with no number to call, no map, and no clue were to go. Eventually, my friend called me and picked me up. We went [...]

Last week we went to Potsdam for a day instead of school. It was absolutely gorgeous and how I imaged the real Germany to be.
We got off a stop early and made our own little castle tour, complete with 7 castles, 1 Biergarten, and 6.5 hours of walking.
The castles were stunning and I will put [...]
